The Westmeath Minotaurs lost by the final score of 0 to 2 in Castleknock College today. In a tight defensive battle with the Dublin Rhinos, the only score separating them was a safety on a mishandled punt in the endzone.
A windy and rainy day made for poor showings from both offenses on the day, and while chances were there to be had, neither team was able to capitalize, leading special teams to be the difference.
Congratulations to the Rhinos on a hard fought game. The Minotaurs next see the Causeway Giants at home on March 28th, with the Minotaurs looking to bounce back.
