First Kitted Game
The Minotaurs play their first ever game, a 6-20 loss against the Drogheda Lightning, in IAFL-1, the second division of American football in Ireland.
November 8, 2014
First Flag Game
The Minotaurs begin their first ever flag campaign, winning 36-6 over the Edenderry Eagles and 30-0 by forfeit over the South Kildare Soldiers.
August 9, 2015
Emerald Bowl I Champions
The Minotaurs win the first ever Emerald Bowl, 19-13 over the Dublin Vipers, and are crowned Flag Football National Champions.

First Youth Game
The first games for the 15-18 year old age group came with a 0-12 loss to the South Kildare Soldiers and a 0-8 loss to the Craigavon Cowboys.

First game for Athlone Minotaurs
The Athlone Minotaurs begin play as a separate flag team from the Mullingar based team.

Name Change
The Mullingar Minotaurs officially changed their name to the Westmeath Minotaurs.
March 5, 2016
Loss in Emerald Bowl II
The Minotaurs return to defend their title in Emerald Bowl II, but fall to the Craigavon Cowboys, 0-36.
July 17, 2016
First Kitted Playoff Game
The Minotaurs earned their first playoff berth, but due to unforeseen circumstances, were forced to forfeit, 0-30, to the Cork Admirals.
July 22, 2018
First Kitted winning season
The Minotaurs finish 6-2 on the year, earning their first winning season in kitted football.
July 28, 2019
Near promotion
The Minotaurs win their first ever kitted playoff game against the Wexford Eagles, 27-22, to reach the IAFL-1 Bowl, but fall in a nail biter to the Craigavon Cowboy, 27-28.
July 31, 2022
Division 1 Champions
After 2 lost seasons due to COVID, the Minotaurs return to the championship, now the Division 1 Bowl, and finally earn promotion, defeating the University of Limerick Vikings, 16-13.
November 5, 2022
Promotion in flag
After relegation during COVID, the Minotaurs win their way back to the Premier Flag Division, with a 46-12 win over the Belfast Knights in Glas Bowl III.
March 26, 2023
First kitted game in Premier
The Minotaurs defeat the Craigavon Cowboys, 38-0, in their first ever game in the Premier Division.
October 27, 2024
First youth playoff berth
The newly revived youth team, playing for the first time since 2017; and combined with players from the Craigavon Cowboys, earned the youth team’s first ever playoff berth.
November 2, 2024
Promotion in flag once again
After relegation in 2023, the Minotaurs win their way back again in 2024, defeating the Dunboyne Wildcats, 19-7, in Glas Bowl V.
July 19, 2025
Defeat in championship
After 2 seasons in the Premier Kitted Division, the Minotaurs were relegated back to Division 1. The Minotaurs won their way back to the renamed Harp Bowl, looking for promotion once again. However, the Minotaurs fell to the Louth Mavericks, 0-44, in Harp Bowl X.
