Minotaurs fall to Vikings by score of 25-6

June 26, 2022

The Minotaurs finish the regular season 7-1 after a deserved loss to a fantastic Limerick side 26-6. The Vikings came up knowing a win secured them home field advantage and that we had nothing to play for. The Limerick men capitalised on our complacency from the very get go and punished us for it, handing us our first loss of the season. A strong running game with ferocious defense was the key for the Vikings win, a few bright spots for the Minotaurs seen Jack Lynch reel in another touchdown along with several turnovers by our defense including another pick each for Peter Dempsey and Jason Owens. We now turn our attention towards the playoffs when we host a home semi final on the 17th of July. We want to give a massive thanks to UL for a great game and wish them the best of luck with the rest of their season. We also want to thank Paul and Liz Kinahan for manning the chains for us all season along with feeding the lads at half time and helping clear up after, all the lads massively appreciate ye for the helping hand all season.
