It was a disappointing day in Belfast as the Knights ran out comfortable winners having led by 28 at the half.
Two weeks after digging ourselves a hole in the first quarter the trick was repeated as the Knights took at 14-0 lead with scores through the air and on the ground. Our offense never really got going on the ground or through the air. The defense battled hard but poor field position was making life difficult. By half time the Knights had stretched their lead to 28 and the game all but over.
The second half saw some improvement on both sides of the ball. The defense forced successive three and outs, turned the ball over on downs and began to swarm the ball better than the first half. The offense got going through the air but penalties again stopped several promising drives. The final score of the game came on a beautiful Joe Kinahan pass to Cathal Dunne with Shaun Dalton converting the two pointer.
We turn our attention to three home games in a row, starting with the visit of the Belfast Trojans in two weeks time.
